    Home can be described as a place “where the heart is”. For my photo, I want to express the idea that home doesn’t necessarily have to be a place but rather a feeling. The feeling you get when you are with your family, friends, or that special person in your life. Since the idea behind home is the comfortable feeling you get when you are with the people you love, I want to capture this moment in the purest way. For example, the girl is sitting up cuddled on the couch with her favorite family member in the house, even though it is her pet. She’s in the moment picking a movie to watch and just relaxing comfortable in her home. To me, home is where I feel safe to be. This is what is being expressed in the photo. The girl feels safe on her couch with her dog. Even though family isn’t with her, the feeling she has when sitting there relaxing is a “home sweet home” feeling.

    I chose to have the subject of the photo cuddled up in a blanket to express the comfortable aspect of the photo. The girl is holding the remote because she is picking out a movie to watch. The girl also has a soft smile because she is happy to be in her favorite place.
