MCKENZIE STYLC
While analyzing Steve McCurry's photography the portrait photographs captured my attention. The use of bright colors and beautiful eyes makes McCurry's portrait photography stand out from other photographers. McCurry is known for the many amazing portrait photographs he has taken which makes it even more interesting and exciting to create an inspired photograph of my own from his work.
When it came to creating an inspirational photo from Steve McCurry's many amazing photographs I chose to be inspired by this portrait of this Pakinstan girl. I chose to do the exact opposite of what McCurry did. Instead of bold and vibrant colors I made the subject of the photo dress in dull colors and have more of a dull expression to her face. Also the background of the photo doesn't have anything special too it which really adds to the dullness making it look less like a work of McCurry's. Lasetly I made the subject of the photo look right at the camera from straight on unlike how the Pakistan girl is looking at the camera from more of an angle.
Deciding how to be inspired by Steve McCurry's work was very hard to choose. Over a lot of consideration I feel like doing the opposite of the kind of photographs McCurry takes made me more inspired by him. This is because I had to look more in detail on all the little things I could do differently then he did. For instance, I made the subject of the photo show her hair and have it down, made the background and clothes boring by having no vibrant colors, and did not make anything special about the eyes.
