    Many people may feel lost throughout their life. When I thought of the word lost I immediately thought about college and all of us graduating from high school. Everyone, like myself, is stressing about leaving high school and we each have that lost feeling and often question “What am I going to do next?”. This is what I decided to portray in my photo. The girl is standing in the woods with her backpack on questioning and wondering what her next move should be.

    The girl is in the woods because it symbolizes the idea of no direction, and the feeling of being lost because there is nothing to tell her where to go. I chose to take this photo in this spot because it is a very open area and there are many ways to go but the subject of the photo doesn’t know where to go.  The person in the photo has a backpack on to symbolize the school aspect of their life. The girl is still in high school, about to graduate, and is wondering where to go next. Should she go to college? What career path does she want to follow? And more questions like this. She is also scratching her head in the photo as if she is confused about what she wants to do. Having the subject of the photo hold her hand on her head like this shows how confused and lost she is with her life. Eventually she will find her path, and the lost feeling will soon disappear.
